Flights Money Saving Travel Tips Singapore Vietnam

Two cheapest flight options to Singapore

Saigon to Singapore

You don’t need to be rich to travel.

We did a long jet-setting last Chinese New Year and Singapore is our first stop.
I’ve been here multiple times for business and leisure where average airfare is ranging from 70 to 90 USD but weeks before our scheduled trip, we were able to catch the cheapest flight from Ho Chi Minh City for just USD 21, lucky!

Via Changi Airport in Singapore

Changi is one of the largest regional hubs in Asia where most of the budget airlines from Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur serve multiple daily flights in and out of Singapore. Fares can be as low as $21 during the lean season. If you’re looking for a cheap flight to Singapore but your travel dates aren’t flexible, you might want to consider the second alternative route.

Via Senai Airport in Johor Bahru

Air Asia offers cheap flights for as low as $21 to $25 each way from ASEAN cities (except Manila and Hanoi) to Johor Bahru in Malaysia.

From Senai Airport, take the Causeway Link airport bus to JB Sentral, it departs every 30 minutes. Malaysia Imigresen Kompleks is just beside JB Sentral station. Once you exit Malaysia’s border, buses are waiting downstairs that will take you to Singapore. It’ll be less hassle if you buy a bus ticket straight to Bugis or anywhere near downtown Singapore.

After the immigration process in Singapore, the same bus company will pick you downstairs, just keep your bus ticket with you. Generally, flying to Senai Airport will take 2 to 3 hours travel time to reach downtown Singapore, not bad if there is a big difference on airfare.
