Australia-Vietnam Working Holiday Visa Scheme
Age of eligibility – Government announcement
The Government is considering options for expanding the upper age of eligibility from 30 to 35 years, including timeframes, legislative requirements and engagement with partner countries. Reciprocity of arrangements for Australian citizens remains a key feature of the program. The current age of eligibility (18 to 30) will remain in place for the time being.
If you are a passport holder of an eligible country, this visa type will allow you to enter and exit at any border in Australia. You are also allowed to apply for a temporary job for six months to support your travel around Australia.
The Working Holiday visa is only applicable to young applicants who intended to travel to Australia while earning money to support his/her travel for the whole year.
Vietnam passport holders are currently not eligible for this scheme. We will keep our eye on the Australian government for any announcement regarding this visa for Vietnamese.
