The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan grant visa-free entry to Filipinos who wish to travel to Taiwan for business/tourism purposes. This 30-day visa-free access to Philippine Passport holders will start on June 1, 2017.
Statistics show a significant growth of tourist arrival coming from Southeast Asian countries and implementing new visa policy for Filipinos will encourage more tourists to visit the country.
Taiwan’s government is currently implementing a “New Southbound Policy” that aims to forge closer trade and economic ties with countries in South and Southeast Asia.

October last year, Taiwan relaxes its visa policy towards Filipinos by granting visa-free access to PH passport holders who have a valid visa from OECD countries and those who have never worked in Taiwan as a blue collar worker.
The Philippines will join Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand in ASEAN to enjoy visa-free entry to Taiwan.
ASEAN passport holders from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam who hold permanent resident certificates issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Schengen Agreement signatories, the United Kingdom, or the United States, or hold a visa or a resident card from one of these countries that is either valid or expired within 10 years from the date of expected arrival in Taiwan, are eligible to use the online application for Taiwan travel authorization certificate.
MOFA also instructed its offices in Southeast Asian countries to take measures to issue multiple-entry visas with a validity of at least two years to middle-class citizens of their host countries.

Taiwan and the Philippines are currently served by Philippine Airlines, China Airlines, EVA Air, Cebu Pacific and Vanilla Air. Flights between the two capitals, Manila and Taipei can go as low as PHP 800.00.
EVA offers great deals from the Philippines to North American destinations. Travelers may now option to visit Taipei visa free when on transit.
I’m sure Japan and South Korea OECD countries will follow soon when our capita will reach 4k USD.
Hi there, same case with Thailand and Malaysia.

Yes ganun po. Stamp and go lang but for sure they will ask a few questions.
We bought a ticket to Taiwan this June 17, 2017. No need to get a visa na dbah? Just to make sure . Just stamp and go nah?
Yes, parang ASEAN, stamp and go but sometimes they ask questions. Just like any other visa-free countries, they still have the right to reject your entry.
Good day
We are planning to go to Taiwan this last week of June 2017 for a relative visit and this is our first time to travel in Taiwan. Is this new policy applicable for the first timer also?
Hi Sheng, if this is the first time you go out the country and the first time to visit Taiwan, yes go can definitely enter the country without visa subject to immigration interrogation.
