Happy International Women’s Day!

These two incredible women making waves on the internet in celebrating International Women’s Day, showcasing that women can do incredible things such as flying the world’s biggest commercial aircraft.

Emirates is one of the largest operators of Airbus A380s. Women in this Arab airliner is close to 44% of the workforce and contributed so much and an integral part of the airline for 31 years.

Not only in Emirates that women excel. Recently, Royal Brunei Airlines had their first woman pilot to operate a jumbo jet to Europe. Furthermore, some of Delta, American, Lufthansa, Singapore and Philippine Airlines’ first officers and pilots are women.

I myself would be very surprised to hear a woman piloting our flight. Indeed, this only shows what every woman can achieve.

“Empowering women isn’t just the right thing to do, it is the smart thing to do.” – former US President Barack Obama
